Internet Marketing - How to Choose a Niche Market By Sean Mize

Internet Marketing – How to Choose a Niche Market

Internet marketing is such a big field and so many people get involved on the internet just to make money. And that is okay, I think – that is why I am online. I am in this thing to make money. But I think that sometimes people fail to realize that when they get started online, they can make money in whatever field they want to, in whatever niche they want to. Many times, new people don’t have to get any specialized skills to be able to make money online, they can simply start making money in the area of their hobby or their own personal skillset.

Just about everything that you already know something about, can be a niche market that you can use to make money online with.

Think about your hobby areas. What do you like to do? Fishing, Crocheting, Cooking, or Cleaning? What do you know something about that you could teach someone else? Almost without fail, there is interest online.

How do you find out? Well, there are a lot of sophisticated techniques people use to find out how much a topic is researched or queried online, or to find out how many web sites there are, but that doesn’t give you much more than the raw numbers.

Try this. Write one article each on each of your possible niche topics and submit each of them to the three top three article directories online. Check how many people read each of the articles. Take the article topic that received the most readers, and begin to create a theme around that topic. You can do it!

Niche Market Research - 7 Easy Steps By Rick Mann

Internet marketers are always talking about niche market research as if it's a guarded magical process that only a few insiders truly understand. Well, we're going to show you a quick and easy, step-by-step process for doing niche marketing research that you can start using immediately.

How does that sound?

Pretty cool, huh?

So, let's get started.

Step One: Your Goal

The goal of this process is to come to the end of it with a brand new niche market that you know you can go into and start making money almost immediately. It'll be a hungry market, with hungry buyers, and enough openings for you to slip in without anyone noticing.

Step Two: Amazon.com

We're after a clearly defined niche market that is already populated by a group of hungry buyers. So, we're going to start at Amazon.com. At the top of the first page, next to the search box, select the book department, and go. In the left hand navigation column, you'll notice all the different book topics. Pick one that interests you. Let's say, Parenting & Families.

Now, you'll notice a new set of topics in the left hand column. Pick one. Let's say, Family Relationships. And from that navigation column, let's choose Divorce.

Step Three: Reviews

Our first glance at the books on divorce will focus on the number of reviews for each book. Reviews indicate a market that's involved and active, which is what we're looking for. At the time of this writing, you'll see review numbers such as 149, 29, 90, 30, 62, 42 and so on. These are wonderful numbers. They demonstrate a clearly-active group. If you were seeing much smaller numbers, let's say in the 0-10 range, then you'd have to be a little concerned about your market. Though it's only one consideration in this process.

Step Four: Titles

Next, you want to take a look at the titles. Even though this section is about divorce, you'll find titles such as How to Survive the Loss of a Love, and The Good Bye Book: How To Heal A Broken Heart In 30 Days, and Rebuilding: When Your Relationship Ends. These are all possible sub-niches. Not just about divorce, but how to survive the loss of a relationship. So you might want to note these potential sub-niches for future reference.

Step Five: Amazon.com Numbers

Next, you want to take a look at the sales ranking of these titles. Helping Your Kids Cope With Divorce is #3,670 in Books. This can be found by clicking on the book cover and moving down the page to the section title Product Details. Amazon.com Sales Rank for this title is 3,670. Since they carry millions of titles, this is an excellent ranking. Make note of it.

Step Six: Dummies

Does the topic have an Idiot's Guide or a Dummies book? In the case of divorce, yes, there's a Divorce Dummies title. This is a plus. It demonstrates that research has already been conducted in this niche and the folks behind the Dummies books felt it was a profitable niche to go after. It's not devastating if there isn't a Dummies title in your niche, but it's a definite plus if there is one.

Step Seven:

Check out the competition. If you enter "divorce" in a Google search, you'll find that there are over 66 million pages on the Internet with that word in the content. You can't compete with 66 million pages. You'll never be seen. So you want to find a niche within divorce that you can go after. To do this, go to the Google External Keyword Tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal) and enter the term "divorce." Then start going down the list and entering the supplied keywords into a Google search inside quotes (for example: "divorce dating") until you find a group of keywords without tons of competition.

Now you've done your niche market research and you've got yourself a niche market.

Revolutionary Niche Market Secrets That Will Increase Your Profits By Mark A. Abrahams

Understanding how to choose a very profitable niche market is one of the most fundamental skills that you need to learn. The main reason for this is that this is like the home of your business. If you choose this incorrectly you will find that it will become nearly impossible to earn money from your business.

You may be asking the crucial question how on earth do I know how to do this correctly? When I first started online I kept on choosing markets where I could not make any money. I did everything else right. I created a website and sent highly targeted traffic to it. Unfortunately I could not monetize these websites.

It is not necessary to reinvent the wheel. Take a look and see what else is popular and selling very well only. Have a look at Ebay as this will usually be a good indication of what is selling very well. Also take a look at the ppc adverts. These people usually would not be advertising if they were not making any money.

Some typical markets that usually do well are home business, golf, network marketing, financial services and health. If you target anything in one of these niche markets and do your marketing correctly you are very likely to make a decent income.

However in business there are no guarantees. So I suggest that you choose 3 to 5 markets. Track and test to see which are the most profitable and get rid of the ones that do not make you any money. I have often thought something would be profitable and immediately got rid of it when I realized that I was not making any money from it.

Web Site Promotion for Your Niche Market Web Site By Sean Mize

Web site promotion is so important, whether you are promoting a mainstream web site or a niche market web site. The bottom line is, no matter how good your web site is, if you do not have traffic n to it, that means web site promotion to get the traffic, you are dead in the water. You simply have to promote your web site and get the traffic.

So how is web site promotion different for a niche web site than it is for a non-niche website?

I think that the biggest difference is that with a niche web site, you have to have very targeted traffic. You do not want to spend money on getting people to your web site who are not specifically targeted to want something from you, and if you are promoting to a general audience, then that is what will happen. The bottom line is, you must target your web site promotion when you are dealing with a niche market web site.

So how do you get targeted web site traffic via web site promotion for your niche market web site?

Here’s how I do it, and I think these are the very best, low cost ways of niche market web site promotion:

1) Article – Generated - Traffic is one of my favorites. And the nice thing is that with a little bit of extra work, the same articles you write for this can be used for #2 below. With this strategy you will write articles loaded with keywords of your niche market, and put a link to your web site within the article, and then submit these articles to article directories that have a pagerank of at least 6.

2) Natural search engine results. There are two fast and easy ways to get natural search engine results for your niche market (these will not work so well for mainstream markets): Submit your web site to 100 web directories and submit the same articles you wrote in #1 above, to at least 100 different article directories, varying the introduction script on each one just a little.

Writing an Ebook For A Niche Market By Connie Ragen Green

Write your ebook on a niche topic and you are sure to make lots of sales. A niche market is a tiny part of a bigger market that still has lots of people who are interested in knowing more about it. One example would be dogs. Dogs are a very large market, but if you get more specific, such as writing about boxer dogs, or boxer dogs that are aggressive, that is a niche market. There will be fewer people who need information on aggressive boxer dogs, but those people who are interested will be sure to buy your ebook.

So how do you find a niche market to write about? First, think of things that you are interested in and know something about. Next, conduct a keyword search to see how many people are also interested in that topic. Keywords are the words that people use when they type into a search engine like Google to search for information. In the example above, someone would type in something like aggressive boxer dogs if they were looking for a solution to that particular problem. If you write an ebook that solves a problem for people you will make sales much more easily. People are hungry for information that will help them solve a problem or satisfy a need in their life.

Once you have found the niche you are going to write about, stick with it until you have written an ebook about it. Then use parts of your book as articles that you can submit to article directories. This will get people who are interested to stay in touch with you. When you put up a website for them to buy your finished product, you will already have their names and email addresses.

Niche marketing is therefore the coming up with a solution to the problems of that particular niche. Tailor your product or service according to their requirements. Niche marketing is ideal for lone enterprise proprietors. In this kind of marketing, as the marketer you harp on your specific area of expertise.

In order to excel at niche marketing, identify the target audience or a group of individuals who are in need of what you have to offer. Once you have done that, specialize on it by making it narrow. Then, identify what they all have in common and how you can help them in terms of providing a product that suits their needs and is within the budget. Micro niche marketing targets at a specific market as opposed to multiple markets at the same time. The major advantages of micro niche marketing are:

Credibility : Once you specialize at one area of expertise, you will become credible to others. Making your area of expertise narrower, gives you an upper hand in the business. More people are more likely to believe what you say since you are more specific. When you have mastered the art over time, you can be able to build strong relationships with your clients. You are more likely to get higher returns than broader niches. This is because the target audience is always willing to pay more for the expert advice as opposed to a generalist?s awareness.

Getting rid of the competition : When you specialize in one type of product or service that is not explored by others, you can eliminate the competition. Most of the professionals in the micro niche business are ahead of the rest in the market. Even though the niche market you choose should be small, make sure it includes an adequate number of people.

Greater returns : The best part of specializing is that you can charge high fees for services rendered. This is because you offer more specific information, products or even services.
